A son who was run about by his mother when she drunkenly tried out to pick him immediately after a celebration is now suing her.
Harley Martlew is looking for damages in the Victoria Supreme Courtroom towards his mother Danielle right after he was badly hurt when she ran him down Traralgon, two hrs east of Melbourne, in February 2017.
She had responded to a contact from her then 17-year-old son to decide on him up from a party at 2.30am in the morning.

Supreme Court files show Ms Martlew was four times around the blood-alcoholic beverages limit when she went to gather her son, the Herald-Sun reported.
She had a blood-alcohol written content among .199 and .222 when she crashed into her son on a Traralgon street and was reportedly also ‘stressed and upset’ just after receiving a text message from her previous spouse.
Ms Martlew was advised her son was up ahead in the center of the street immediately after she questioned pedestrians for his whereabouts, just before she sped off in search of him.
Mr Martlew sustained head accidents, a broken leg and broken arm right after his mom ran into him.
He underwent two surgical procedures on his arm right after a metallic plate inserted into the arm snapped.
In December 2017, Ms Martlew was convicted in the County Court for consume-driving, refusing a breath check and negligence triggering really serious personal injury.
Now 21, Mr Harley is seeking damages over the ‘life-changing’ accidents which prevent him from operating as a builder.
His law firm stated Mr Harley was bodily restricted by issues with lifting, bending and squatting, despite now working as a mechanic.
‘The injuries that Mr Martlew suffered ended up preventable – the carelessness of the driver implies that our customer has endured everyday living-transforming physical and psychological harm which will have a important effect on his future,’ reads his statement of assert.
Even with the court action among son and mom, Ms Martlew’s Facebook features loving images of Harley with his lover and new child child.
